As South Africa’s premier black business publication for the past decade Black Business Quarterly (BBQ) has led the way in honouring and celebrating black company leadership. Since its inception in 2001, the annual awards have showcased individuals and companies that have shown true commitment to the transformation agenda of South Africa.
These are the leaders in the corporate fraternity, the drivers of corporate social investment, the proactive public servants facilitating the sustained growth South Africa has enjoyed and the entrepreneur creating jobs and empowering our people. The Van Ryn's BBQ Awards are open to all black-owned and black-empowered organisations in South Africa. These are organisations that have shown outstanding job creation and fair labour practices and who have taken an interest in the careers of their employees. They need to be financially sound with a good growth track record.
Nominees are judged by a panel of independent judges for their flair, leadership and management skills. The judges select the finalists and winners who are recognised at the gala dinner. Best Established Black Business Award SMME Award New Entrepreneur Award Public Sector Visionary Award
