Black Business Quarterly (BBQ), South Africa’s top black business publication, will once again honour black leadership and extraordinary achievement at the 9th annual Black Business Quarterly Awards at Emperors Palace on 15 October 2010.
The BBQ Awards are open to all black-owned and black-empowered organisations in South Africa. These are organisations that have shown outstanding job creation and fair labour practices and who have taken an interest in the careers of their employees. They need to be financially sound with a good growth track record. Individuals will be judged for their flair, leadership and management skills.

And once again we are looking for organisations and individuals who have played a key role in encouraging and promoting sustainable black business through leadership and empowerment.
The BBQ Awards have led the way since 2002 in recognising and acknowledging the achievements and the change brought about by these organisations and individuals.
Past platinum winners include South Africa’s leading mining entrepreneur Patrice Motsepe, MTN CEO Phuthuma Nhleko and Kelly Group Deputy CEO Mthuzi Mdwaba.
Individuals will be judged for their flair, leadership and management skills. By a panel of independent judges. Finalists and winners who are recognised at a gala dinner.
Ten award categories are open for nomination.
